DESCRIPTION

Our Apple Pie started life as an X_Series trial two Winters back. We're excited to bring this can to life on a commercial scale, thanks to our FwB Community.

We tinkered, tested, and tuned until it hit that sweet (but not too sweet) spot. So please give a warm Winter welcome our newest permanent addition to our range, Apple Pie Soda.

Think of it like something in between Apple Strudel and Mulled Cider?

Our 2025 blend brings together three stonking apple varieties:

🍏 Bramley for that sharp, tannic bite
🍎 Red Windsor for juicy, aromatic lift
🍏 Estivale for sweetness and balance

The result? A soda that’s bright, round, and made for sipping, mixing, and surviving the darker days. Plush, refreshing, and a wee bit too drinkable. With the highest-ever juice content in our range, this one’s our most fruit-forward yet.

Much of your feedback on recipes from years past, centered around 'brightening' the drink; less stewed, secondary flavours, something that had bite and balance. We hope that you find that we've created something that handles slow sipping, as well as the strength to handle a warm glass and wet ice.

Our X_Series is our chance to trial new concepts at a micro level, before taking to the wider UK market for commercial approval. Apple Pie is our latest project.

We ask that all of our exclusive 'Friends with Benefits' members get stuck in to the conversation at this experimental level: allowing us to adjust recipes, refine the production technique further, and help us make smarter decisions moving forward into 2026 and beyond.

How We Do It:

Warning: attempting to recreate this at home may result in disappointment, purple countertops, and deep existential regret.

We’ve done the hard part - you just need to crack a can.

1. PRESSED BRITISH APPLES

We love working with every and all British Apple varieties, but our top performers are always Bramley, Estivale and Red Windsor. Our apples are shredded, pressed and shipped to Glasgow ready for blending.

2. WINTER SPICES

Our Pressed British Apple Juice is sat on nitrogen to soften any astringent edge. Once we’ve chilled our product below 2 degrees, it’s time to fold in our Winter spices. This freezing temperature allows the Pimento Berries, Clove and Nutmeg to bind to the apple juice gently over time. But cassia bark needs heat to express its feelings, a tiny touch of Raw Organic Cane Sugar helps this tough spice relax and unwind into the liquid.

3. THE ART OF THE BLEND

Once we’re happy we have captured that supporting spice, we still need to prepare our blend before bubbles. By folding and filtering our three components individually, we flush this final blend with a steady lick of grated nutmeg and clove to lengthen the final mouthfeel.
